Crazy lunch creations!

The typical home lunch, my style...

Photobucket

Lunch for DH
No leftover here
...

Ham & cheese bagel
with avocado butter spread
&
Spring green salad
with avocados,
grape tomatoes,
spring onions,
carrots
&
a strawberry!

The "leftover" soup
made from
leftover grilled steak,
leftover parsley potatoes,
leftover sweet vermouth carrots,
and
a few glass of
leftover tomato juice
in
beef stock

Bento
with
leftover pasta salad
wrapped in lettuce,
leftover quail eggs
with crackegg art
...

Bento
clearbox

used to max
with cheese & ham
fun cut-out
sticky pasted
as decor
...

More Bento
Quail eggs
done mushroom style,
tabasco dots
for details
&
spice,

Tostitos "scoops" shells
filled with
leftover tuna,
top with flower
cut carrot,

Garnish with
Rose & mushroom cut strawberries

...

Who says leftover lunches
"have to be" boring?

Tip:
Just use whatever is still good in your fridge,
do not even waste
what is even left
of
not enough
to make a normal lunch
...
Make it Bento style instead!

P.S. To a true greenie, it is a sin to waste both food & water too... all are precious! So recycle!

A little slice of my Kitchen

Here is a little sneak peek at my kitchen, just some little angle shots.

Decor stuffs

Basic earthen red & green
(reminds of X'mas but then so what?)
I totally dig them as they are strong
complimentary colors.

A measuring beer / cocktail shaker glass
(I have to go back & get 2 more in case it breaks
usable too for making my mixed drinks)

A square printed glass plate
(digg the wine theme)

My old Apothecary jar
(filled with usable dried chili pods)
and
an earthen candle holder that
can double as a chia pet
(KWIM)

One of the most inexpensive and functional
way to brighten up a kitchen
is fruits like
Limes, Lemons, Oranges, Bananas...
(good old country way as my MIL will say)
Both to savor as food,
visual stimulation
as well as
in handy fresh summer drinks.

I love booze, I will not deny
...
It is almost like
a hobby for me to try out
new drink recipes.

So it only make sense that I will
also bring some liquor theme
into my kitchen

A complimentary drink of some sort
to accompany my meals
...

Like a Magarita
with grilled flank steaks
(from tuesday)

Finished off with a
...

"Fancy Santos"
Cuppa Joe

...

Yes, I do enjoy being in my Kitchen
creating & spending time
on my passions.

Campari "Zenzero"

Yes, this recipe is my own twist again...
Inspired by the Campari Flame BUT nothing like it!

What you need:

1 part Campari
1 part Sweet Rosso Vermouth
1 part Orangenade / Lemonade
1/2 a sweet orange
1 tsp sugar
&
1 thumbnail size Ginger "Zenzero"
(You need that much to totally infuse
the "ginger goodness"
and yes, its the star & key element;
so yah, its potent)

Directions:
Important
*Grind/crush* the ginger,
& sugar
with a muddler
(yes, mojito style)
into the bottom of your shaker
Juice your 1/2 orange in there
Add ice
Add your liquor
(but not the orangenade / lemonade)

*Shake*
*Strain & Pour*

into chilled glass
...

Float
the Orangenade or Lemonade
on top of that concoction
(for that nice dual tone look)
&
Lastly garnish with a slice of orange

Campari "Zenzero"
that different twist my DH asked for
when he gazed passionately at
(OK drooling)

the campari website for cocktail mix.

P.S. DH always wants something different whenever he feels weak for his Negroni crave...

Campari

This is my husband's favourite of all time liquor.

CAMPARI
This one is in my liquor cabinet,
my DH's favourite of all times.
Starting to become mine as well.

Some cool knock out poster babes...

The
NEGRONI

Yah, its a cyclist cocktail...
doing the Italian thing.

Recipe
of the
Negroni:

1 part Campari
1 part Gin
1 part Sweet Vermouth

very easy!
